Love apple pie? Now you can eat it for breakfast and not feel an ounce of guilt! This vegan apple pie smoothie bowl is made with real food and classic apple pie flavour! It has everything you look forward to in an apple pie: cinnamon, apples, nutmeg, and cloves. The only thing you are missing is a scoop of vanilla ice cream, but I’m sure you won’t miss it when you take your first bite of this smoothie bowl. It’s creamy, it’s filling, and it’s perfect as a snack or even for dessert!
With apple season in full swing, I thought it was only natural to put this sweet red fruit to good use. While it may be more common to make actual apple pie, this is my way of satisfying my smoothie bowl obsession and getting to feel like I’m participating in the fall shenanigans. So, it’s really a win-win scenario if you ask me! While smoothie bowls are more popular during sunny, warm-weather months, I really wanted to give you guys a more fall-centric option so that you can have your smoothie bowl fix and feel all cozy.
This decadent fall-tastic vegan breakfast bowl has all the comfort of homemade apple pie paired with the freshness and fun factor of smoothie bowls. The apple adds a sweet-yet-tart flavour, frozen bananas provide a creamy consistency, and medjool dates add a subtle caramel sweetness. It basically tastes like a caramel-covered apple, but as a smoothie bowl. And then we go crazy with the toppings! It’s very creamy and thanks to the toppings, it tastes like a cross between an apple crisp and pie.
