Is there anything more utterly delicious yet wholesome than good granola? not just any granola, but the kind with big, chunky clusters, not too sweet, and crunchy, where just a sprinkling on top of your yogurt leads to snacking by the handful because it’s just so addicting... Despite all my efforts to be relatively health-conscious, I have resigned myself to the fact that I have a huge weakness for crunchy, sugary cereal. It’s so easy to buy ready made granola and there are so many different brands and varieties to choose from, but I still prefer to make my own at home. That way I can control the way it tastes and how sweet it is.
I like to make a big batch of granola every now and then to have in my cupboard whenever I need a speedy breakfast. Pour some granola into a bowl, pour in some milk, add some berries and you have a delicious healthy breakfast, yum! Who doesn’t want to eat chocolate for breakfast? This vegan chocolate hazelnut granola tastes just like nutella… I hope I have your attention now! But for reals, it seriously does… Making this granola is also a great way to meal prep a few of your breakfasts, just like having a yummy cereal to wake up too but this is sooo much more delicious! You’ll just have to make it to believe me but chocolate and hazelnuts together are never a fail.
Not only is this chocolate hazelnut granola pretty much nutella in crunch form, it’s so easy to put together, bake and eat (obviously that last one is what we are all here for!).
This granola takes only 7 ingredients to enjoy before you know it. Homemade granola is also surprisingly simple to make. But after tasting one bite of this granola, I was taken back to the world of cocoa puffs and krispies. It even turned my oat milk into chocolate oat milk! It is the truly delicious, but full of wholesome ingredients. This granola is lightly sweetened. This vegan & gluten-free chocolate hazelnut granola would also make a really nice snack for when you’re craving something chocolaty, but slightly better for you and more filling than a square or two of chocolate. I promise if you make this once and taste how delicious it is, you will never go back to processed cereal again!
