Can I just gush to you my love for chocolate real quick? I feel like… chocolate completes me. Chocolate completes the foodie me. I can always, always go for a piece of chocolate. While I am not a big snacker, these vegan chocolate matcha coconut ups would be a nice option for a sweet snack, without the blast of sugar to my body.
It wasn’t until a few years ago, probably when my diet started changing to incorporate more whole foods, that I started to favour dark chocolate more. I feel like I am kind of a chocolate snob now though… Does anyone else feel this way?? Also, antioxidant rich matcha tea, can help fight free radicals in the body and promote long-term health. Matcha being the whole leaf, ground, also contains 137 times the amount of free radical-fighting antioxidants as any other green teas. WOOT WOOT! So basically you can have your chocolate, get in some healthy fats and become a cancer-fighting super hero all in a couple of bites.
The addition of antioxidant-rich matcha and the healthy fats practically make this treat a health food! I didn’t take my eyes off of my friend as he took his first bite. “Mmmmmmm!” he grunted through closed lips. I thought he had accidentally bit his tongue but he followed with “this is good! But I guess you can’t go wrong with any kind of chocolate cup, can you?” Truer words have never been spoken.
