Chocolate Quinoa Porridge

Can you think of anything better than hot chocolate for breakfast?! The kid in me thinks this is a dream come true! Chocolate is one of those things that you totally don't associate with breakfast. Well, at least I don't. However, this vegan chocolate quinoa porridge is not only super delicious but also incredibly healthy! And the best thing is that it is ready in only 5 minutes! In addition to being nutrient-dense, this breakfast bowl is also naturally sweetened with maple syrup and rich with antioxidants thanks to the cacao powder. Fresh fruits and a square of dark chocolate make the perfect toppings.



I’m typically an oats or granola fan, but the amount of protein and staying power in quinoa is hard to ignore – 1 cup cooked contains about 8 grams protein, 5 grams fibre and tons of iron and magnesium! I can’t think of a better way to start the day. Now you can have chocolate for breakfast and never think twice. Chocolate is rich in nutrients and is actually a great thing to add to your morning routine. Not only is chocolate energizing (it has a touch of caffeine for that), but it's also packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. All of which are amazing for your body. So rather than saving chocolate for an after-dinner treat, let's whip up a super-charged, chocolate-filled, insanely-decadent breakfast, that is packed with superfood ingredients and actually good for you.
