This holiday season, I have a long list of recipes I want to create and share with you so you, in turn, can share with your loved ones. Cooking for me, really is about sharing with the ones I love; I relish in being able to send my baked goods home with friends and dropping slices of cake off at my neighbours. Of course, I also love feeding my family, too! One thing that I was desperate to try out is a star bread or yeasted wreath of some kind, so one Sunday afternoon, I thought I may as well try my own take on this classic.
Have you ever had star bread before? Warm, sweet and chocolatey bread, this vegan chocolate star bread is twisted with a chocolate filling and can be eaten layer by layer, the outer skin is slightly burnt and the inner is soft. It is heaven. It’s basically like a chocolate bun, except twisted and shaped into a star for the holidays! I’ve made it twice in the past, but this year, I decided it would be fun to put a “twist” on it. This star bread recipe is easy to make yet takes a good couple hours. It’s really worth all the effort and you’ll be so proud of yourself once you see the star forming right before your eyes.
IF YOU EVER GIVE THIS RECIPE A TRY, DO LEAVE A COMMENT BELOW AND/OR TAG @FRUITYEMZ AND HASHTAG #FRUITYEMZ ON YOUR INSTAGRAM POST! I WOULD LOVE TO SEE ALL YOUR YUMMY CREATIONS 🙂
