It is time to put a twist to your usual bread with these vegan maple rose pull-apart bread. Not only are they pretty in look, they’re also delicious in taste. These freshly baked bread which are squeezed together looks like a bouquet of budding roses. So beautiful. Because they look like a rose, this bread is the perfect deliciously edible dessert for holiday occasions to impress your guests, a low-cost present for your loved ones or Valentine's Day dessert. Or simply just treat yourself to some roses just because! These pretty roses are guaranteed to be a hit, they look so pretty it's almost a shame to eat them!
I know a lot of people are put off making yeasted dough recipes as they look more complicated than a cake but these are really quite simple to make. I find it really satisfying rolling up the filled dough, cutting it into slices and then watching them puff up in the second rise. Not to mention that they make your house smell absolutely fantastic! The bread which I loved as a child and now I’m able to make it for my family, it’s a sweet taste of memory but more of a blessing.
Once you release the bread out from the pan after it is cool, the side of the bead is a beautiful colour and it’s so soft. The charred colour at the bottom also tells us that it’s sweet and crispy! There’s a habit in my family when we eat this bread - the sweet and crispy base is always saved for the last. You can also see a nice drawing effect as you break it open. The best part is biting into them!
