S’mores Oatmeal

Three words: s’mores chocolate oats. They are my favourite three words, literally, when it comes to breakfast. You can't act surprised that I found a way to turn an otherwise totally healthy bowl of plain oatmeal into a vehicle for s'mores toppings. Whether you're eating this as a yolo breakfast or dessert, it is a winner. This vegan s'mores chocolate oatmeal fits the bill! It tasted like the classic campfire delicacy! Don’t this look like a beautiful bowl of oatmeal? I’m all about that dessert for breakfast life!!



You know how almost all of my recipes are healthy? Well… this one isn’t at the top of that list, though it’s not totally over the top unhealthy either. It’s definitely better than the average dessert out there. So meet my breakfast for the past 3 days. You meet s’mores for breakfast. S’more for breakfast meet you. What better way then to start the day with a quick breakfast that includes chocolate? Imagine that you’ve just woken up from a great nights sleep on your on your memory foam mattress and now your breakfast is ready and waiting for you.



Who ever figured out the combo of chocolate, marshmallow and oats is a genius. That combo is just so good, and will never get old. We have taken what we love about s’mores and made them into something we love a little more. This sweet, warm, gooey, delicious treat always leaves kids wanting more. In fact, that is probably how they got their name. S’more is thought to be a contraction of the phrase, “some more,” as in “I want some more of those s’mores!”



Breakfast could not get any better than rich and creamy chocolate anytime someone tells me that my food can cook while I’m sleep I’m onboard. But when you tell me that when I wake up I’ll be having s’mores for breakfast I’ll be so waking up in the morning and feeling like it’s my birthday. Oatmeal topped with toasted marshmallows and melted chocolates. The best part is, I get to make it from scratch, so it’s not full of ingredients I can’t pronounce, like all those funky flavours in the store.



I love that I get to demulsify the whole s'mores-for-breakfast thing by incorporating into a healthy dish like oatmeal. After all, who said oatmeal has to be boring? So anytime someone tells me that my food can cook while I’m sleep I’m onboard. But when you tell me that when I wake up I’ll be having s’mores for breakfast, I’ll be so waking up in the morning and feeling like it’s my birthday.



So everything else from there should be pretty same old, same old. Just stir it all together and chill. Doctor things up before serving and enjoy memories of sitting by the fire and telling ghost stories as you nibble on breakfast! These s’mores overnight oats are going to make your morning… every morning.
