Triple Chocolate Scones

Happy Easter y’all!! So, you know that phrase “a picture is worth a thousand words”? Well, I think this is one of those pictures. Decadent, chocolate, sinful, rich, gooey, sweet, chocolate, delicious, mouth-watering, melty, chocolate…wait, did I mention chocolate? All these words come to mind for me when I look at this photo of these amazing vegan triple chocolate scones.

Am I the only one with chocolate cravings in the morning? I don’t think so! I will take a scone or two for breakfast! Anything you can make in one bowl and includes chocolate is a winner These scones is perfect as an Easter breakfast, tea or brunch because, really, is there never a good time to not eat this much chocolate?! Chocolate… the breakfast of champions! I will have 2 scones thank you! If i have a glass of milk … does that make it more nutritious?

The thing I liked the most about these scones is how easy they are to put together. Don’t you love when a recipe doesn’t make half your kitchen dirty? This also doesn’t use a mixer, so get your muscles ready. I’m going to give you an arm work out today. You are going to warm up by cutting the frozen coconut oil into the dry ingredients with the fork. Really try to cut it in, so that coconut oil chunks are evenly distributed throughout all the flour.

These triple chocolate scones supreme taste like brownies. And your kitchen will smell like fresh baked brownies for about 6 hours after making them. Which is a reason in and of itself to make them, no? I call them “supreme” because that’s exactly what they are. A chocolate scone of supreme nature, thankyouverymuch.

These scones are dark and chocolatey because of the cocoa powder, with melty bits of chocolate chips in every single bite. And on top? A melted semi-sweet chocolate drizzle, which makes the scones completely ridiculous in the best way possible. These brownie-like scones are crumbly on the edges, moist in the centers, and exploding with chocolate. The bites with the melted semi-sweet chocolate chunks inside are the best. Haha, no. All the bites are the best.

And the best part? You can have these rich chocolate scones ready in less than 30 minutes! Enjoy them warm out of the oven for the ultimate melted chocolate experience! Just let them cool down for awhile once they’re out of the oven. This a great breakfast snack to enjoy by yourself or to share with family and friends. Make a large batch over the weekend and then enjoy them during the week, too. These scones will last for 3 to 4 days in an airtight container and can easily be reheated in the microwave.
