I used to be a cereal addict. I didn’t care what meal it was, I was always down for a big bowl of any sugar-packed cereal. I could probably mention at least ten cereals that were “my favourite” and all of them had more sugar than anyone should consume in a week let alone in one sitting. But as I started to really pay more attention to what I was putting in my body as fuel, sadly cereal didn’t make the cut. There are some pretty decent “healthy” cereals out there now, but i still have issues finding a cereal that checked all the boxes.

In this recipe, however, we do things differently. Inspired by the classic cookie crisp cereal, this is a fun healthy version. This vegan cookie dough cereal is simple and way better than the pure sugar I had as a kid. It’s not tear up the roof of your mouth crunchy, but rather sweet, soft and chewy little mini cookies that are made with just a few healthy ingredients, in way too fun to eat in cereal form. This cookie dough cereal really does check all the boxes, and it makes me feel good about knowing exactly what is going in it.

There’s just something about shoving spoonfuls of cookies and milk in my mouth that sounded way more appealing… so I went for it and wow, it did not disappoint. Once you add some dairy free milk, mmmmm it’s like having a ton of dunked chocolate chip cookies aka a dream come true haha. The cookies do get soggy pretty quickly of course, so don’t pour the milk over them until you’re ready to eat!

Are you using this lockdown as an opportunity to really focus on your health and wellness?Your goal should be to fill each and every meal with as many different nutrients as you can. One of my favourite ways to do this is through smoothie bowls. This vegan salted caramel smoothie bowl is not only refined sugar-free, but it also has no added sugar, is dairy-free, 100% vegan, paleo, keto – but also delicious. With the use of a couple of special ingredients, you can quickly achieve a salted caramel-esque smoothie bowl.

I’ve always loved salted caramel. One of those flavours that almost instantly makes my mouth water. Caramel – it’s alright I suppose, nothing too special. But by adding salt to caramel is like one of my favourite sweet treats. Unfortunately, caramel isn’t exactly the healthiest thing to consume often. This smoothie is the bomb as it is filling, delicious and creamy......it is full of goodness with the addition of nutritious peanut butter and naturally sweetened with mineral-rich dates. If you are looking to curb your salty/sweet cravings and find yourself reaching for ice cream or chocolate then try reaching for this smoothie instead!

This delectably healthy vegan and gluten free smoothie bowl tastes like a sinful dessert, but the recipe is packed with healthy ingredients you can feel good about (even for breakfast!). I’m usually too impatient to wait until after dinner for my sweet fix, so I love dessert flavoured breakfast bowls. This smoothie is somewhere between a dessert (think salted caramel ice cream) or a decadent drink or breakfast.. yet it is full of healthy ingredients and contains no refined sugar.

If you’ve been around here for a while you may have realised that I’m a little obsessed with crispy cauliflower recipes. When you batter and bread cauliflower florets it gives it such a great taste and texture and is perfect for coating with a sticky, flavourful sauce.

Crispy breaded cauliflower is one of the best ways to enjoy plant-based stir fry recipes. Think of it like chicken (no, it does not taste like it), but it is a great basic starter that absorbs sauces like a dream! It is also a great way to enjoy more vegetables at dinner time. This vegan baked teriyaki cauliflower wings is a veganise version of teriyaki chicken and I wouldn’t be surprised if you were able to trick some people into thinking it was real chicken!

This recipe is so delicious. perfect little bites of cauliflower that are tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. They are also crunchy and sticky sweet. You won’t be able to stop eating them, they are extremely addictive and delicious! They are perfect as appetizers, as a side dish and even better to enjoy while entertaining or to eat compulsively while watching Game of Thrones or your favourite show.
